DC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTS 2025 SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT & EXPO ADDRESSING PRESSURES & OPPORTUNITIES FACING LOCAL BUSINESSES

WASHINGTON (April 7, 2025) – The DC Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities, & Banking (DISB) and the Department of Small Local Business Development (DSLBD), will host the 2025 Small Business Summit & Expo: Resiliency During Uncertain Times on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This free event brings together industry experts, elected officials, entrepreneurs, and business and local leaders to address the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses in the District. Attendees will gain insights and actionable strategies for growth through expert-led panels, workshops, and networking sessions.

“Resilience is key to small business success,” said Chinyere Hubbard, president and CEO of the DC Chamber of Commerce. “This summit embodies the Chamber’s commitment to provide our business community the tools and knowledge they need to navigate uncertainty, seize opportunities, and thrive.”

The event features several opportunities for small business owners, including high-impact, expert-led workshops covering Artificial Intelligence (AI), mergers and acquisitions, procurement, and cybersecurity. Attendees will also receive personalized advice and support at the Small Business Coach’s Corner, offering one-on-one consultations with local service providers. The Speed Networking Powered by DISB provides a platform to connect and expand networks with fellow entrepreneurs, industry experts, and potential partners. The Makers Market offers an all-day showcase of local small businesses and their unique products. The day culminates with the Small Business Awards Luncheon celebrating outstanding D.C. small businesses and their contributions to the local economy.
